County Intermediate Championship Round Two
What is it about a Shannon Rovers versus Arravale Rovers games. Less than a year ago both teams met in the FBD Insurance preliminary intermediate hurling quarter final at Holycross. The teams could not be separated after eighty minutes of hurling and a prolonged penalty shootout was required to separate the teams which gave Arravale the win.

Last Sunday evening would not have required extra time or penalties but it certainly provided as much drama if not more with Shannon Rovers denied by the width of a crossbar as they lost by 2-21 to 1-22 in a dramatic second half.

All is not lost however. With their first round win over Carrick Davins, our hopes of making the knockout stage depends on our third round game with Clonakenny in two weeks time. Well done to all. 

Minor Hurling  
Naomh Eoin defeated Portroe on this Wednesday the 5th of August at Borrisokane. 

Junior Hurling
Our Junior hurlers will play Ballina in Ballina on Sunday August 16 next. 

Under 16 Hurling
By the time this latest edition of the Nenagh Guardian hits the shops followers of the North under 16 B Hurling championship will know the outcome of the four quarter finals played on Monday the 10th of August. Naomh Eoin will have played their quarter final against Kiladangan in Portroe. More details later.

Under 12 Hurling
It’s a similar fate for Naomh Eoin under 12 hurlers as they will have faced Lorrha in the Quarter final play-off on Tuesday 9th of August at Borrisokane.

Under 14 Hurling
Naomh Eoin will play Ballina in a hurling challenge game next in Ballina next Thursday 13th of August.
