Under 15 B Hurling
In round four Lorrha Rovers lost their unbeaten run to Burgess on a 1-17 to 0-12 scoreline at Kilcolman last Thursday evening week. The team was to play Borris-Ileigh in their final group game but Borris were unable to field a team.
With the Group stage complete Coiste na N’Og North Tipperary made a draw for the knockout stage and before the quarter finals are played there are two play-offs with Lorrha Rovers taking on Burgess this coming Thursday the 21st of August and Kiladangan facing Moneygall the same evening. The winners will receive a bye to the semi finals. Meanwhile, Portroe and Borris-Ileigh will sit it out and re-enter at quarter final stage taking on the losers of the two play-offs.
Under 13 C Hurling
Lorrha Rovers were to have played Moneygall in the Under 13 C Semi final at Borrisokane on Tuesday 12th August. Instead the game was re-scheduled for Tuesday 19th of August and we should know the outcome of that game when the Nenagh Guardian arrives at the village shop.
Under 17 A Hurling Quarter Final
Lets hope we will have good news on the Lorrha Rovers versus Burgess in the quarter finals at Nenagh which was played in Nenagh last Monday 18th of August
Co Intermediate Hurling
After our Intermediate hurlers lost to Kilsheelan in the first round at Templetuohy last Saturday week 5-17 to 2-13 our thoughts turn to the second round when Rovers play Ballybacon Grange in the second round at Borrisoleigh next Sunday, throw in 2.15pm.
Its five years since our last Intermediate championship meeting with Ballybacon Grange. August 15th infact, at Templetuohy when Rovers won 3-19 to 2-17. The win gave Rovers three points on the Group table. They had the same points as Borherlahan but the mid team had a three point better score difference and that was enough to see them through to a quarter final clash with Borrisokane which the mid team won.
