North Junior Football Success
Last Tuesday June 30th will go down as one of the great days in the history of Shannon Rovers hurling and football club following their one sided win over a sporting Nenagh Éire Óg team in the North Junior A Football final played at Gardiner Park, Borrisokane.
Granted the Nenagh team were short a number of regulars but the manner in which our players played, especially our younger players made it all the more enjoyable. Remember its North final stage. There will be plenty hard battles to come in the county championship. Thats the real money.

Junior C Hurling
Shannon Rovers defeated Newport in the first round of the North Junior C Hurling championship 2-15 to 0-9 in Ballinderry last Sunday evening. Rovers led 0-8 to 0-3 at half time. Well done boys.
Minor Hurling
Naomh Eoin defeated Ballinahinch/Templederry 2-26 to 1-17 in the first round minor hurling championship played on Wednesday July 8 last at Templederry.

Naomh Eoin enjoyed their second win of the championship when defeating Silvermines 3-14 to 4-10 in the third round of the North Tipp Under 16 B Hurling championship at Ballinderry last Monday evening July 6. Naomh Eoin face Borris-Ileigh in round five in Borrisoleigh on this Monday 13th of July.

Naomh Eoin defeated Lorrha in the third round on Tuesday 23rd June in Ballinderry. The team has a Bye on Monday 27th and will face Portroe next Monday night in Borrisokane.
