County League
Shannon Rovers were narrowly defeated by Knockavilla Kickhams in the second round of the FBD Division 3 County Hurling League played last Sunday at Ballinderry. Played in very wet and cold conditions, Rovers played into the breeze in the first half trailing by nine points approaching half time before settling for a 2-11 to 0-9 deficit at half time.

The second half was a different story as Rovers clawed back the deficit before taking a 2-12 to 2-11 lead on fifty minutes. But those final minutes, when narrow margins prevailed it was Knockavilla who managed to find their way as they outscored us 0-3 to 0-1 in the end.
Shannon Rovers will play Arravale Rovers in the third round at Ballinderry, throw in 12 noon on Sunday 12th of April. Arravale lost to Sean Treacys in last Sunday’s second round clash.
Under 16 Hurling Challenge
Naomh Eoin’s Under 16 hurlers put up a good performance against the might of Saint Rynaghs last Thursday in Banagher.

Under 17 Hurling
Naomh Eoin’s under 17 hurling tie with Arravale Rovers, due to be played last Sunday, did not go ahead as Arravale were unable to travel.
Under 17 Football
Naomh Eoin Under 17 footballers next outing is an away game against Golden Kilfeacle next Monday 6th of April, throw in 6.45pm.
Under 14 Football
Naomh Eoin Under 14 footballers will play their first championship game when they take on Burgess at Kilcolman next Thursday 2nd of April. Throw in 6.30pm.

Junior Hurlers
On Sunday next, Shannon Rovers Junior hurlers will face Kiladangan in Ballinderry in the next round of the North Tipp Junior B Hurling League.
