Naomh Eoin defeated Portroe on a scoreline of 6-5 to 0-11 in the North Under-16 Shield semi final at Portroe last Monday the 31st of August. They were due to play Silvermines in the final at Dolla last Monday the 7th of September.

 

Naomh Eoin Under-14 hurlers will play Newport in the North Under-14 A quarter final in Dolla on Thursday the 10th of September.

 

There is plenty entertainment for our followers to come for Naomh Eoin with Under 16 B County Hurling semi final arriving shortly. Then there is the North Under 16 B Football championship with the County Junior A Football quarter-final also at stake.  

 

To Lorrha and Dorrha GAA club on the passing of Liam King.Liam King was a legend in Lorrha hurling circles. He won an all-Ireland senior hurling medal in 1971 when Tipperary defeated Kilkenny an eighty minute final Tipperary 5-17 Kilkenny 5-14. He lined out against Shannon Rovers on a number of occasions. Sympathy to his wife Kathleen, son Ronan, daughters Fiona, Amanda, Sheena and Paula and his immediate families. May he rest in peace.
