Tipperary Senior Hurlers
Tipperary’s senior hurling campaign in 2023 came to a disappointing end when they lost to Galway in the All-Ireland Senior Hurling quarter final at the Gaelic Grounds last Saturday. The defeat brings an end to a year which they played very well in the Munster championship but Galway proved once again very hard to beat in the later stages. In sixteen championship meetings 1987 to 2023 Tipp have won seven championship outings as opposed to nine for Galway. The All-Ireland senior hurling championship is very competitive.
